Our classes are instructor led and are continually being updated with lesson plans to enhance your experience with gymnastics.
Mission Statement
To provide a safe, positive learning environment where children can learn the movement potential and expression of the human body through gymnastics.
Objective and Philosophy
- To develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and kinesthetic awareness.
- To develop self-discipline and the ability to concentrate on and analyze physical movement.
- To develop the necessary social skills and understanding required in a group situation involving children of various ages and abilities.
- To instill physical activity as a daily part of life.
- To develop a positive self-image and self-confidence through the acquisition of gymnastics skills.
Parent and Tot - 18 months - 45 min. class
This is an excellent class for parent and child to have fun and also learn. This unique class allows the parent to participate with the young child giving them the opportunity to grow comfortably in a group situation at their own individual pace. Activities include use of hoops, balls, ropes, parachute, rhythm sticks, music and trampoline in addition to normal gymnastics apparatus.
Tumble Bees- 3 years old - 45 min. class
This class is for the child that can function independently from the parent in a group situation. Skills are more difficult than the Parent Tot class and a greater emphasis is placed on gymnastics.
Marvels- 4 years old - 45 min. class
This class is for the child that can function independently from the parent in a group situation. Skills are more difficult than the Tumble Bees class and a greater emphasis is placed on gymnastics.
Comets- 5 years old - 1 hour class
This class is designed for boys and girls to develop the fundamentals in gymnastics, including trampoline, which allow girls and boys to improve coordination, strength and balance for all sports.

Adult Gymnastics
This is a basic gymnastics class with the limitations of an adult body in mind. It is not a weight loss program. Although participants do not need to be in great shape, you should realize that to maintain safety, you might be limited by your physical condition. There are, however, many skills that can be learned as well as understanding the appreciation of physical movement that most children are to young for.
Pre-Team Program
Our pre-team program is an orientation to the competitive team. With the emphasis on developing self-confidence, self-esteem, and the skills necessary to become a successful gymnast. Gymnasts are chosen by their body type, natural ability, desire, and attitude about the sport of gymnastics.
Competitive Team Program
The Hastings Gymnastics Center Inc, competitive team program consists of Level 5 through 10 for women and levels 4 through 10 for men. Our gymnasts compete at USA Gymnastics sanctioned competitions. The emphasis of our competitive program is success at each level of competition, individual achievement, and a well-balanced, confident athlete and individual. |
